Robbies Pass – Tough Trip Trails
Robbies Pass – Tough Trip Trails is a pioneering adventure along the less traveled path. This is 4 day trip for those seeking adventure and challenge and a unique experience. This route is extreme and not intended for “softer” vehicles. The trip will most likely include road building and along Robbies pass as well as travel through overgrown roads and trails. It is sure to be a memorable trip.
Event Program
Day 1 – 01/07/2023 – Departure at Kamanjab @ 9h00 to Otjokavare via C35. From here we travel west to D3710 and then follow the D3710 to Opuwa. We will sleep at Opuwa, either Wildcamping of sleepover at a lodge.
Day 2 – 02/07/2023 – Travel from Opuwa to Kaoko Otavi, Dorsland Graves, Robbies Pass, Robbies Pass Waterfall (if possible), Sesfontein and to Ogongo.
Day 3 – 03/07/2023 – Here there are 3 different routes which can be traveled and the discussion will be made when we arrive .
1. Mountain Trail, Uumbaadjie, Klein Serengetti, Erwee, Kamanjab
2. From the sesfontein/palmwag road, Otjitheka trail, Erwee, Kamanjab
3. Khowarib, Uumbaadjie, Erwee, Kamanjab
Day 4 – 04/07/2023 – Travel Home
Based on the information we could gather, Robbies Pass should only be attempted from North to South as it might be unmanageable from South to North. However, should the company decide to attempt the impossible, the route can be traveled in reverse.
Hats are available for purchase at N$250, to be arranged with E.S. Tietz personally.
Route Distance, from Kamanjab to Kamanjab is approximately 800km. Fuel should be available at Opuwo and Sesfontein but confirmation will be made closer to the date of the trip.
