Butiaba-Weekend 2023
Fun, Sports, Competitions, Tressure hunt for the whole family.
Please remember your GPS and cellphone because it will be necessary to do the treasure hunt.
Meals will be available from Thursday evening at a cost, prices to follow.
People can arrive on Wednesday, the event starts at 9:00 Thursday morning on the farm Elenrode.

- Saturday lunch Jaffels with mince – N$ 25

Butiaba Weekend program:
(NB! Treasure hunt start when you start at your home, first clue will be before arriving at Wednesday evening campsite.)
24 May 2023 – Arrive on Elanrode for wild camping, self-catering.
25 May 2023 – Event opening 9:00, start 10:00 with dune drives, self-catering.
Arrive around 17:00 at campsite, just chill and wait for the hotdogs that will be served.
26 May 2023 – Wake-up at own time, self-catering, go on with treasure hunt to farm Butiaba.
Arrive lunch time for a delicious hamburger.
After lunch, going on with the treasure hunt on Butiaba.
At 5 o’clock all treasure hunt papers must be in for marking.
Then you prepare your Cobbler-in-a-can for assessment.
After that, a game will follow for points and a sundowner on the dune.
Back at home, a delicious venison pie meal awaits.
27 May 2023 – 7:00-8:30 Coffee, tea and biscuits
Opening at 9;00, fun track follows, also for competition until lunch where refreshments will
be available.
When points are processed everyone can enjoy the tire track for leisure.
Around 17:00 we will play one last game for fun before the prize giving and then a delicious
Barbeque follows.
28 May 2023 – From 7:00 Coffee, tea and biscuits before goodbye.

Friday afternoon competition: Cobbler-in-a-can
Cobbler is a dessert consisting of a fruit filling poured into a can and covered with a batter, biscuit, (in the United Kingdom) before being baked. Some cobbler recipes, especially in the American South, resemble a thick-crusted, pie with both a top and bottom crust. Cobbler is part of the cuisine of the United Kingdom and United States, and should not be confused with a crumble.
